Writing Competition
A group that raises funds for Rennie Grove Hospice Care has launched its annual writing competition. ‘Rhyme & Reason’ is a fundraising group comprising local writers and they are requesting 400-word prose entries or poems of up to 20 lines on the topic of ‘freedom’ before 1 June.
Winning entries will be published in the group’s 2018 A5 desk diary, which is sold in aid of Rennie Grove. In the last 26 years, the group has raised nearly £60,000 for the charity – enough to fund a specialist nurse for almost two years.
To be in with the chance to see your creation in print, download the entry form from www.renniegrove.org/RhymeandReason and email your entry to wallisjill@hotmail.com before 1 June. Your contribution will be helping local families affected by cancer and other life-limiting illness.
