The Coombe Hill Run is probably the only “fell” style run in the South of England. It started life as a fund raising exercise as part of Wendover Carnival, raising money to build an outdoor swimming pool for the residents of Wendover. It usually takes place on the first Sunday in June and is now administered through Aylesbury Athletic Club, http://www.coombehillrun.org.uk/.
