2025 Panto Charities announced for Jack and the Beanstalk

Aylesbury Waterside Theatre are proud to announce they will be supporting 9 local charities this Christmas during the run of Jack and the Beanstalk from Fri 5 Dec 2025 – Sun 4 Jan 2026.

The venue received a record-breaking number of applications, over 60 in total, from local charities keen to partner for this year’s pantomime, and the venue’s Charity Committee were humbled by the inspirational work being done locally in the community.

Every year the Waterside Theatre shares bucket collection proceeds between two charities; this year supporting Aylesbury Homeless Action Group (AHAG)  and Hector’s House who work on suicide prevention through education, awareness and support.

CEO James Boultbee from AHAG said:

“Aylesbury Homeless Action Group exists because we believe everyone needs the security of a home. Being chosen as a charity partner for the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre this Christmas shows that the struggles of the people we support are seen, and that they will not be forgotten. It’s a reminder of the generosity of our community, and we’re so grateful for this chance to stand together and bring hope as we start to look ahead towards Christmas.”

Karyn Taylor, Fundraising Manager at Hector’s House said of the partnership:

“We are both humbled and proud to have been chosen as one of Aylesbury Waterside Theatre’s charity partners for 2025. This partnership gives us a powerful opportunity—not only to raise much-needed funds, but also to shine a light on suicide prevention and mental health across Bucks and beyond. As a small but mighty charity, founded in memory of Hector Stringer, who tragically took his own life at just 18, our mission is clear: to prevent suicide through education, awareness, and compassionate support.

Our partnership with Aylesbury Waterside Theatre and its wonderful audiences has the power not just to make a difference—but to save lives. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity.”

The theatre is also running for the 5th year its Magic Tickets scheme enabling customers to add an additional ticket to their order at a discounted rate of £10 to treat a child less fortunate to see the pantomime. Local businesses are also welcome to purchase tickets too, with the final allocation being distributed to Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity, Young Carers Bucks, Absolutely Together, Barrie Wells Trust, Emmett’s Genies and Enrych Buckinghamshire.

Booster seat donations this year will support The Theatre Shed, an inclusive theatre company empowering young people to embrace their unique voices, fostering confidence and self-expression.

The venue team feels proud to be able to support these hugely deserving charities with the help of this year’s generous pantogoers, who last year raised over £10,000 from bucket collections for Autism Early Support and Aylesbury Foodbank and funded over 500 Magic Tickets.
