Michael Anthony Estate Agents and Aylesbury and District Football League looking forward to coming football season
Leading northern home counties estate agency, Michael Anthony Estate Agents and Aylesbury and District Football League are excitedly looking forward to the forthcoming football season. With the continuation of the headline sponsorship, there’s a huge amount to look forward to.
This sponsorship, which started in January 2019, provides further awareness of the league and underlines the importance grass-roots football offers many local communities. Michael Anthony has a long-held interest in promoting local football and enjoys sponsoring the Marsworth Cup, and also provides equipment to local community teams including Water Eaton FC U16s and Wingrave Wasps U9s. The Aylesbury and District Football League dates back to 1891.
Additionally, Senior Partner for the estate agency Michael Donnachie and his sons have a long-held interest in the Aylesbury and District League. In the past, Michael has played and coached for Bucks CC, whilst his sons have all turned out for the side. Sadly, Bucks CC is no longer a team in the ADL. It is hoped Michael Anthony’s sponsorship will help more teams thrive and not cease like Bucks CC did.
Chairman for the Aylesbury and District Football League, Peter Rice, said: “It promises to be another great season for the Aylesbury and District Football League. With Michael Anthony Estate Agents on board and championing our cause, more local residents and communities will be aware of the feats of football we’ll serving this season. To all the teams, players and supporters of all the clubs involved, we hope you enjoy the forthcoming season.”
Michael Donnachie added: “We’re really looking forward to the kick-off of the Aylesbury and District Football League season. Grass-roots football has a rich heritage locally with the ADL dating back to 1891. Together we’re looking forward to championing adult football this season across the Vale of Aylesbury and also welcoming teams from High Wycombe to the league. I also have a personal interest in the league – I enjoyed playing and coaching in the league a few years ago and I’m glad to give something back.”
